SOUHRN

Kombinace agonisty GLP-1 receptoru s bazálním inzulinem představuje moderní alternativu léčby diabetů 2. typu. Přináší nejen výborné glykemické výsledky, které často převyšují účinnost intenzifikovaného inzulínového režimu, ale také minimalizuje riziko hypoglykemie a přírůstku tělesné hmotnosti. Zároveň je tato léčba pro pacienty výrazně komfortnější. V klinické praxi by proto měla být tato terapeutická možnost stále častěji preferována.

SUMMARY

Combination of GLP-1 receptor agonist with basal insulin represents a modern alternative of type 2 diabetes treatment. The effectivity of such combination in diabetes control often not only exceeds intensive insulin treatment, but also reduces risk of hypoglycemia and weight gain. Simultaneously, the treatment brings more comfort for the patients. For these reasons, GLP-1 receptor agonist with basal insulin combination should be often preferred in clinical practice.
